The HRT 260 vehicle is a hi-rail truck conceived to provide comprenhensive testing services to both railway and rapid transit. The vehicle is able to operate on 5 different gauges and it is equipped with several measuring systems for overhead line and track inspection. Vehicle’s profile has been reduced to the minimum for operation on narrow clearances.

During Infrastructure Inspection surveys, the MERMEC Group Track and Overhead Line Measurement and Automated Inspection Systems collects data on testing vehicles, and console programs generates Inspection Reports.
These reports make the analysis of the track and catenary easier to read and comprehend than attempting to read exceptions from a video strip chart alone. Reports are generated electronically for printing in near real-time onboard inspection cars or can be reprocessed later upon request to the customers.
Report copies are transmitted electronically as a Portable Document Format (PDF) or HTML Pages using satellite or Internet communications.
For advanced M&R planning MERMEC offers RAMSYS, a comprehensive decision support system that enables proactive management of railway assets. Through the ability to compare and analyze volumes of current and historic infrastructure asset data, railways can greatly improve maintenance strategies and planning.
The peculiarity of the RAMSYS system is a unique visual framework that enables users to correlate and view railway information in meaningful ways, moreover system’s analysis and forecasting tools help users plan preventive maintenance and optimize capital project planning.
