Authorized Research Laboratory
A key asset of MER MEC is the qualification of Authorised Research Laboratory of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) for the design and the development of:
- Railway vehicles and systems
- Hardware and software systems
According to the Italian regulation for the supporting of industrial research, Italian firms can obtain funding for applied research, demonstration and technology transfer projects carried out by Authorised Research Laboratories.
The qualification of MER MEC as Research Laboratory enhances the attitude of the company towards co-operation and technological innovation, it strengthens its reputation as a desirable research partner and further marks the capability of MER MEC to develop hi-tech applications also outside the railway sector.
